Where the web jobs came from today
Being offered a job in the app
Signing on is real and the office can see it. Jobs arriving on this screen is the next piece, and it waits on SmartMove: it allocates work to the hardware in the cab, which reports where it is without anybody holding a phone.
Take work the way you do today. Signing on here does not change how you are given a job.
Stay online with the screen off Needs app
Keep taking offers with the phone locked in your pocket. A web page stops the moment the screen goes off — the one thing that genuinely can’t be done in a browser.
Switches on when the SYD CABS app reaches the stores.
Ring me when a job comes in Needs app
A sound and a lit screen with the phone locked, instead of watching a page waiting for something to appear.
Switches on when the SYD CABS app reaches the stores.
Examples, not tonight. This is what the screen will list once the office keeps the diary. Nothing below is a real event.

One table the office fills in — what, where, when it finishes — and a form in the panel. No app and no SmartMove. It is not built because nobody has said who keeps it current, and a stale list sends you to the wrong side of town.

Checking which terminal is yours…
The office checks it against the Clover dashboard, then settles it into your balance. You will see each step here.
Your reports
Cashed out
Every entry
Cash fares on the meter are yours and are not counted here. This balance is your card takings as reported and checked by the office, less rent, invoices, charges and what has already been paid to you. Your weekly statement comes from the office.
From the office
Your contract and the policies
Confirming a notice or a policy is recorded against your record with the date and time. That is done in your full account, where the confirmation is written once and kept as evidence — not in two places that could disagree.
Your record
Star rating, and how often you accept
This screen used to show a rating, an acceptance rate and a count of jobs completed. Every one of those comes from the record of jobs offered and finished, which SmartMove holds and SYD CABS does not. They were invented figures, and they are gone rather than left looking like yours.
When they do arrive they will be scoped to booked jobs only. A rank or street hiring must be accepted when it is offered — that is section 2 of your Driver Service Agreement and the law, not a percentage.
Your details
Address, phone, emergency contact — in your full account ›Privacy
What SYD CABS holds about you and why ›Your vehicle is insured by your operator, not by SYD CABS, so there is no insurance page here. Ask your operator for the certificate of currency.
Which cab you are in is set at sign-on
You choose it when you sign on for a shift, and it cannot be changed from here while one is running — sign off and sign on again in the other cab. The record of who was in which vehicle is what settles a dispute between a driver and an operator, so it is not something either of you can edit afterwards.
On file
Send a document in
It goes on your record for the office to check. A clear, flat photo with all four corners in shot is accepted first time.
Nothing is recorded here yet
Where your money is paid is not held by this system. Whether SYD CABS should store your bank details at all is a decision that has not been made, and building the screen before the decision would be deciding it.
Your settlement goes where it goes today. To change it, call the office on 1300 926 117.
Your RCTIs are not here yet
A recipient created tax invoice is raised against real fares, and SYD CABS does not hold those — SmartMove does. The invoicing itself runs through Xero, which is connected for operator invoices and not yet for driver RCTIs.
Until then your RCTI is emailed to you with each settlement, and that email is what your BAS is built from. Keep them.
